Microsoft Outlook XP/2003

Office XP/2003 are the journal, email and scheduling client included with the Office XP/2003 suite. The following assumes that Outlook XP/2003 has been installed correctly.

This document was written using version v10.2627.2625 of Outlook XP/2003, and, unless noted, will be applicable to all versions of the Office XP/2003 set.

Configuring Outlook XP/2003 for Mail Two manners of email configuration are given below: creating a new email configuration (used when you first set up your email account) and modifying an existing email configuration.

I. Creating A New Email Configuration
  1. Select Tools > Email Accounts


  2. Select Add a new email account > Hit Next


  3. Select POP3 > Hit Next


  4. Logon Information:
    Enter, Your Name: (your name)
    Enter, Email address: (your login)@wydebeam.com


  5. Server Information:
    Enter, Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.wydebeam.com
    Enter, Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.wydebeam.com


  6. Logon Information:
    User Name: (your login)
    Password: (your password)
    Check: Remember Password > Hit Next


  7. Hit Finish and you're done!


II. Modifying An Existing Email Configuration

  1. Select Tools > Email Accounts.


  2. Select View or change existing email accounts > Hit Next


  3. Highlight the email account you want to modify and hit the Change button.

  4. Logon Information:
    Enter, Your Name: (your name)
    Enter, Email address: (your login)@wydebeam.com

  5. Server Information:
    Enter, Incoming mail server (POP3): mail.wydebeam.com
    Enter, Outgoing mail server (SMTP): mail.wydebeam.com


  6. Logon Information:
    User Name: (your login)
    Password: (your password)
    Check Remember Password
    [ ] Log on using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)


  7. Click on More Settings

  8. Under General tab, enter Mail Account: mail.wydebeam.com
