 Microsoft Outlook 98
 The following assumes that Microsoft Outlook has been installed correctly.
Configuring Outlook 98 for Mail
Two manners of email configuration are given below: creating a new email configuration (used when you first set up your email account) and modifying an existing email configuration.
I. Creating A New Email Configuration
- Select Tools > Accounts

- Select Mail

- Enter, Display Name: (your name) > Hit Next

- Enter, Email Address: (your login)@wydebeam.com > Hit Next

- Enter, My incoming mail server is a [POP3 ] server

Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: mail.wydebeam.com

Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.wydebeam.com > Hit Next


- Enter,
Account Name: (your login)
Password: (your password)
Check: Remember Password > Hit Next

- Enter, Friendly Name: (your name) > Hit Next

- Hit Finish and you're done!
II. Modifying An Existing Email Configuration

- Select Tools > Accounts.

- Select Highlight the email account you want to modify and hit the Properties Button

- Under General tab, enter
Mail Account: mail.wydebeam.com
User Information: (your name)
Organization: (your organization, if applicable)
Email address: (your login)@wydebeam.com
Reply address: [leave blank]
Check Include this account when receiving mail or synchronizing

- Under Services Tab, enter:
Server information
Enter, My incoming mail server is a [POP3 ] server

Incoming mail (POP3 or IMAP) server: mail.wydebeam.com

Outgoing mail (SMTP) server: mail.wydebeam.com

Incoming Mail Server
Account name: (your login)
Password: (your password)
Check Remember password
[ ] Log on using Secure Password Authentication
Outgoing Mail Server [ ] My server requires authentication, Hit OK

- Hit close to close the Accounts window.
